Start with a destination

Write one sentence that says what the listener should understand or do by the end. This is your editing test. If a line does not move the listener toward that result, shorten it, move it or remove it.

Use a spoken structure

Open with a concrete situation, explain the useful idea, then offer a next step. Read the draft out loud. A sentence that leaves you short of breath is often carrying too many ideas. Break it where a listener would naturally ask a question.

Make references self-contained

A listener cannot click “here” while following a voiceover. Replace vague references with names or short explanations. If the recording accompanies a picture, check that its timing makes the reference clear.

Generate a small test

Choose a paragraph with a name, a number and a transition. Preview that paragraph before rendering the complete script. Listen once for meaning and once for pronunciation. Make the textual corrections first, then adjust voice settings if needed.

Make a small test first

Choose a voice, generate a short take and listen before building a longer project. Scripts are processed by an online speech service; avoid material you should not share with an outside provider.
