Plan a listening objective

Choose what a learner should understand after one short recording. Introduce the idea, work through an example and leave a moment for a response. Spoken explanations benefit from clear signposts such as first, next and finally.

Make symbols speak clearly

Rewrite equations, acronyms and unusual abbreviations in words when needed. Preview technical vocabulary and names. A typed symbol can be pronounced differently from the way a teacher would explain it.

Support different ways of learning

Offer the written script alongside the audio. Break long lessons into titled parts so learners can revisit a specific topic. Listen to the exported recording before sharing it with a class.

A STARTING POINT FOR YOUR SCRIPT
Today we are exploring patterns. [[p700]] Look at the sequence: two, four, six, eight. What changes each time? Pause here and make a prediction before you continue.

Make a small test first

Choose a voice, generate a short take and listen before building a longer project. Scripts are processed by an online speech service; avoid material you should not share with an outside provider.
